Subject: [TCG] TCG Meeting Minutes July 20, 2003

The following were present and accounted for at
the July 20, 2003 TCG meeting held at the K4RO QTH.

Topics discussed included membership requirements, and
whether the TCG should consider simplifying the record-keeping
which currently required.  Those in attendance unamimously
felt that membership requirements had little or nothing to do
with thier level of contest activity or interest in TCG.
W1ZT gave the perspective of the YCCC, which recently went
through a vote on membership requirements.  It seems that
inclusive approaches are the most effective.

Also discussed were the TCG's recent success in the NAQP
contests, and the need for team captains.  Also team/club
score efforts in ARRL 10, 160 and SS contests was discussed.

K4RO gave a demonstration of his RTTY setup used to achieve
near-SO2R oeration using a single transmitter and two receivers.

The meeting concluded about 3:30PM
