TCG Meeting Minutes - November 11, 2000 in Bellevue, TN
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Tennessee Contest Group (Central
Division) we held Saturday, November 11, 2000 at the Bellevue Shoney's
at Hwy 70S & I-40, near West Nashville, TN. at 9:30 a.m.
Present and accounted for:
K1KY - Tom Smyrna
NY4N - Jeff Dickson
KG4ENY - Robert Nashville
K3CQ - Bill Nashville
W4TDB - Vollie Dickson
W4RK - Bill Brentwood
W4UR - Myron Brentwood
W9WI - Doug Pleasant View
K4RO - Kirk Pegram
KQ6ID - Trent Vanderbilt
A fine time was had by all as is the case for all TCG gatherings of any
type. A variety of topics were discussed as follows: TR-Log & other
contesting programs, Antennas, Radios, Torsion Springs, Volvo
Transmission filling procedures, ARRL Sweepstakes - past & future, QSL
cards, NAQP Plaques and TCG elections.
There were two official transactions of business.
1. $47 was collected toward our sponsorship of the NAQP M/2 SSB plaques
for the year 2001. We have one promise of "check in the mail" from
K4RO. I anticipate that we will need about $7 more to finish this
project. Anyone wishing to ante up the remainder can mail the funds to:
TCG NAQP Plaque

2. Elections - nominations for office were submitted as follows:
Facilitator: KE4OAR Chuck Fullgraf
Exec. Adm. : K4BEV Don Burke
Neither of the nominees were present to confirm nor deny their
willingness and ability to serve. As we all know, elections will be held
in December, so we need to be thinking about who will usher us into the
continuing saga of our phenomenal growth and activity. We need
nominations or concensus from the East and West divisions of TCG in
order to complete this process, so let's get cracking!
As this organization continues its' path, we gather more experience to
assist our new leaders, thus making it easier every year for the
incoming administration.
Our gratitude to all the past volunteers and those who continue to
serve this great organization of Contest Enthusiasts is extended with
much appreciation.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned promptly at
11:01 a.m. to the parking lot and parts beyond....
Respectfully Submitted,
Thomas M. Delker
Past-Facilitator
