We convened TCG Central at 9:30 on Saturday, July 3 at the Old Country
Buffet in Rivergate.  K1KY, WD4K, Wo4o, K4JNY, K1AO, and myself were
present.

Business discussed was mostly antenna designs for WD4K. Buy your stock
in the Phelps-Dodge Copper Wire Corp. *now*.   

Also discussed were several upcoming contests:

NAQP - CW is the same day as the next TCG Central meeting, August 5. 
The NAQP starts late enough that most members should be able to get home
from a meeting in plenty of time to operate, so we'll hold the meeting
as scheduled.  It also tends to serve as a bit of a "pep rally".  I
believe Scott W4PA has volunteered to solicit teams for this contest?

NAQP-SSB is, I believe, two weeks later.  We need someone to handle
teams for this SSB contest.  There will be an unofficial meeting/pep
rally before this contest too.  

In both cases, we need as many TCGers as possible to get on and at least
make some QSOs.  The more the merrier, but every QSO counts.

Next after the NAQPs is the Tennessee QSO Party.  The announcement has
been passed to several major ham magazines (including QST and CQ).  We
discussed who might operate K4TCG this year.  

Finally, Jeff brought up SS.  We made a very good showing this year, but
we could do better.  Again, we need as many members as possible to make
an appearance.  Even if you aren't comfortable with a full-fledged CW
(or SSB) effort, even a few dozen QSOs are good for the club.
