TCG Central met at the Old Country Buffet, Goodlettsville, at 9:30
Saturday morning. In attendance:

W4NI	N4KN	K4RO	WO4O	WD4K	K1KY	W9WI	K4OOO
(and K0EJ briefly, though Mark got on the wrong side of two busloads of
teenagers who stopped off I-65, and would probably still be waiting to
eat...)

Two primary items of business were discussed:

The Nashville Hamfest, May 1 at the state fairgrounds. W1ADE, W4TYU,
and WO4O are working on the special-events station. Its location is not
yet determined - we will try to make it at the same place as the TCG
table. Setup will be between 5 and 7 am. Ric is our contact person for
this. W9WI will prepare some TCG Factsheets and membership applications
to be handed out here.

Field Day, June 26 & 27. Stones River will have the CW services of some
of our operators; N4KN will be with the Columbia group. There may also
be an all-TCG operation on Music Mountain. Stay tuned. (and post your
FD plans)

K1KY and K4TCG are both almost out of QSLs (actually, so am I..). K1KY
and K4OOO are both working on designs for an official TCG QSL card.
Keep your eyes on the TCG Web Site for more information.

Other discussion involved technical aspects of inverted-L antennas and
the relative danger of various species of poisonous snake found in
Tennessee forests. Oh, and Wo4o brought in the TCG Mascot for
pictures.

Adjournment was sometime around noon. My calendar says the next Central
meeting will be at the Nashville Hamfest -- we also have one scheduled
the week after the hamfest, and yet another at Dayton. (the time of the
Dayton meeting is not yet final -- "before the contest dinner" seems a
popular choice, though our Supreme Leader cannot be present at that
time)
