Tennessee Contest Group - Meeting Minutes 10/31/98 @ Chattanooga

The third scheduled October meeting of the Tennessee Contest
Group was held Saturday, October 31, 1998 at the Chattanooga
Hamfest, 10:00 a.m. at the Ham Radio Trader booth. Many thanks
to Nick Smith, W4GKM for allowing us to use his booth for the
meeting and distribution of TCG membership materials.

Facilitator Tom, K1KY welcomed everyone present.  Discussions
of the upcoming ARRL Sweepstakes CW contest were centered on
the handling of multiple division entries for TCG Central and
TCG East. 

Motion by Steve, NA4K to start a "Contest Plaque Fund" was 
seconded by W4KH and unanimously approved. Most present were
willing to contribute $10 toward sponsoring a plaque in the 
NAQP contests. K1KY will find out what is needed and make a
solicitation via the TCG reflector to collect the funds.

The QSL fund was also discussed and tabled until we find out
what the printing costs will be.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
10:30 a.m. 

The next TCG meeting will be held November 14, 1998 at the Old
Country Buffet - Goodlettsville, TN AND Shoneys in Murfreesboro,
TN (Stones River ARC special meeting) at 9:30 a.m.  Other regional
meetings will be announced via the TCG reflector.
