TCG Meeting Minutes - October 17, 1998 @ Gray, TN Hamfest

A regular meeting of the Tennessee Contest Group (Northeast) was
held at the Gray, TN Hamfest at the fairgrounds.  The meeting
was called to order promptly at 11:00 a.m. by TCG Facilitator, 
Tom Delker - K1KY.

Also present at the hamfest, performing VE duties:

The meeting began with a welcome speech by K1KY, followed by
in-depth introductions and ham-life histories were delivered by
each attendee. It was noted that 5 of the attendees are active
in VHF/UHF contests.

K1KY gave a TCG history lesson, standard club territory speech,
membership requirements and recap of upcoming events.

N4IR will be the area coordinator for TCG activities.  He declared
the Gray Hamfest to be one of the primary meetings, along with the
gatherings at the Knoxville Hamfest. There will be other meetings
scheduled and announced on the TCG e-mail reflector.

Many thanks to Jimmy, N4IR for putting this together and getting 
the troops out to the meeting. We have six new TCG applications
collected at this meeting!

Meeting adjourned promptly at 12:00.

The next scheduled TCG meeting will be held at the Chattanooga
Hamfest, October 31 at 10:00 - specific location to be announced,
however these food area gatherings seem to be popular!
