TCG Meeting Minutes - October 3, 1998 @ OCB

The regular October meeting of the Tennessee Contest Group was held
Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998 at the Old Country Buffet.  The meeting was
promptly called to order at 9:30 or so by Facilitator K1KY.

Present and accounted for:

W9WI   Doug Smith      Pleasant View, TN
W4KH   Jack Hill       Brentwood, TN
NY4T   Lee Hall        Murfreesboro, TN
WD4K   Tommy Tow       Nashville, TN

Sample TQP '98 award certificates (W4HZD design) were passed around
to the group for selection of colors and layout.  It was decided to 
go with the best one. 

Doug, W9WI reports a record number of entrants with submitted logs
for TQP '98. A great success with many plans to get more clubs
and Tennessee counties activated. Doug also mentioned that Tree 
Tyree (N6TR/7 TR-Log Author) will include TQP as a supported 
contest in his program if we supply good .DOM files. W9WI and K1KY
will work on this.

Upcoming contest plans were discussed and the group vowed not to 
share any secrets with non-attenders.

Wo4o noted that it was getting way to close to blastoff for the CA
QSO party, (and even accused your facilitator of trying to make him
late!) thus the meeting was adjourned somewhere around 10:00 a.m. 

The next scheduled TCG meeting will be held at the Tri-Cities
Hamfest in Gray, TN, October 17th at 11:00 AM. The meeting will be
held in the ticket office building across from the main exhibit
building. This building also houses the food concession, so just
follow your nose!
