TCG Meeting Minutes - July 18, 1998

Following a sumptuous meal, Facilitator Tom, K1KY, called the meeting to
order at 2148Z. The following were in attendance:

and our incredible hostess and host K5KRN and N5HV.

All thanked Rod and Jerry for their kind hospitality.  

The following items were discussed:

* new TCG contesters NA4K, N4IR - good guys from east TN

* new ideas for ARRL club boundaries. Once we come up with a good
  "statement" of what we would like to see (175 mi. radius and entire
  SECTION), we will run it thru the various reflectors and get feedback.
  Based on that, we may elect to recommend it to our Director.

* NAQP sign-up time. K1KY (CW) and K0EJ (SSB). Possible 5 teams for CW! 
  A new requirement is to forward a copy of your log submission QSL (via
  e-mail to the contest captain.

* K4RO will captain CW Sprint and K0EJ SSB Sprint.  We will use our
  own names, in hopes of not killing our scores.

* K4TCG(?) may be a multi-op at Huntsville Hospitality suite (emphasis 
  on MAYBE). Also MAYBE a mobile entry.  (This is now looking doubtful.)

* K4TCG will be evry active for TQP. We need K4TCG QSLs to handle the
  responses.

* NN4T passed along a special invite for all to attend the next TCG
  meeting on the last Saturday of August (29th). Guests are encouraged 
  to attend.

* The meeting concluded with a discussion of rcvr front-end protection.

* Adjourned at 2320Z
