TCG Meeting Minutes - August 30, 1998 @ Cedars of Lebanon Hamfest

An eyeball meeting of the Tennessee Contest Group was held at the
Cedars of Lebanon Hamfest, sponsored by the Short Mountain Repeater
Club.

The meeting convened at 10:00 a.m. at the hamfest sponsor booth
and information about the Tennessee QSO Party which will be on
Sept. 20 was distributed.

Participants then dispersed throughout the area to spread the word
about TCG.  There was a large gathering of the Tennessee CW net
at 11:00 a.m. with many TCG members present.  Certificates were
distributed followed by a QLF contest hosted by W4HZD. Members
are encouraged to participate in our Nets, held on 3635Khz at
0000z during daylight savings time, and 0100z normal time. 

Fun was had by all, and I saw many new secret contest weapons 
obtained by our members. 

Following the hamfest, K1KY, KF4MCD, WB4LHO and KF4VOW returned
to NN4T and helped to top off Steves 10 meter tower.

The next meeting will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, 9:30 a.m.
at the Old Country Buffet, Goodlettsville, TN and locations 
throughout the state as designated by the area cheerleaders.
